The limited-overs leg of England tour has concluded and some of the specialists of Team India are back home after being involved in the gruelling contest. Even the veteran MS Dhoni has returned who endured tough outings in ODIs and will be enjoying a break from the game now. Meanwhile, the Test squad has been announced and the selectors have preferred to go with the youngster Rishabh Pant ahead of Parthiv Patel who was seen talking to Dhoni on Thursday.

India’s regular wicketkeeper Wriddhiman Saha is injured and is expected to stay out for a long time. This has presented a golden chance for the other players with the gloves to put their hands up. Currently, Dinesh Karthik and Pant have made it to the squad for the first 3 Tests and Parthiv might be next in the line if someone gets injured or fails to perform.

The left-hander had a great chance to impress the selectors during South Africa but couldn’t much do with the bat in the two Tests. However, he has to wait for his chance once again and keep on performing in the domestic circuit to earn his place back.

Dhoni and Parthiv engaged in a convo

MS Dhoni, soon after returning to India, attended a Sangeet ceremony of the daughter of the former Minister Praful Patel, Poorna Patel. A lot of cricketers like Zaheer Khan, RP Singh, Parthiv Patel and Irfan Pathan graced their presence in the event. When the cricketers come together, the discussions about the game are bound to take place.

RP Singh, on his official Twitter handle, posted a picture of Parthiv and Dhoni being engaged in a discussion during the event. He captioned the picture with a funny message which read, “Two wicketkeepers and one fast bowler. Guess what we are discussing?”

Having returned from England recently, Parthiv must have been interested in knowing the veteran’s experience while playing in the country.
