After losing their first two matches, Sunrisers Hyderabad under the leadership of Kane Williamson have made a strong comeback in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 and have won four matches on the trot.

The Orange Army is currently placed in the fifth spot in the points table after beating Punjab Kings (PBKS), Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), Gujarat Titans (GT), and Chennai Super Kings (CSK). However, they have lost their matches against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and Rajasthan Royals (RR).

The Sunrisers will have to face strong-looking Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in their next encounter. The match will be played at the Brabourne Stadium, Mumbai on April 23 (Saturday). The Orange Army might not want to tinker with the winning combination and go with the same playing XI used during their clash with PBKS.

Here’s a look at the Sunrisers Hyderabad predicted XI against Royal Challengers Bangalore:

Openers: Abhishek Sharma and Kane Williamson (c)

Even though skipper Kane Williamson failed to get going in the previous encounter, his partner Abhishek Sharma played a vital knock of 31 runs off 25 balls against the Kings. Abhishek has contributed 173 runs in six matches and has played some excellent knocks in previous matches including 75 against CSK and 42 against GT.

Skipper Kane Williamson may have failed to get going in the previous match, but he has been a solid performer for his side. Williamson scored 52 against GT and played a decent knock of 32 against the defending champions. We might see another special inning from the skipper’s bat in his next assignment.

Middle-order: Rahul Tripathi, Nicholas Pooran (wk), Aiden Markram

Both Aiden Markram and Rahul Tripathi have given some excellent contributions to their team. South African batter Markram has been good with the bat, scoring an unbeaten 41 against PBKS. Similarly, Tripathi also scored 34 off just 22 balls in his last encounter and was also adjudged Player of the Match in his side’s match against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).

The wicketkeeper-batter Nicholas Pooran looked under pressure in the first match against Rajasthan Royals (RR). However, he has turned with three 30+ scores against Super Giants, Titans, and Kings and has looked confident with his ball-striking capabilities.

All-rounders: Marco Jansen, Shashank Singh, Jagadeesha Suchith

Pacer Marco Jansen has been bowling decently for the Orange Army. He was called in the 11 as a replacement for Romario Shepherd and has done well for the team so far. In four matches, he has picked up three wickets but has bowled with remarkable consistency.

Jagadeesha Suchith was quite economical in his second outing in the tournament. The left-arm spinner scalped one wicket and gave away only 28 runs in his four-over quota. He replaced the injured Washington Sundar in the Playing 11 against KKR and finished with figures of 1/32 off three overs. All-rounder Shashank Singh did not get to bat or bowl in the previous match, but he is expected to keep his place in the line-up.

Bowlers: Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Umran Malik, T Natarajan

The trio of Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Umran Malik, and T Natarajan scalped a total of eight wickets against PBKS in their last encounter. Express pacer Umran Malik scalped four wickets and was adjudged the Player of the Match. Similarly, Kumar was also seen at his absolute best as he took three wickets and Natarajan also bagged one wicket.

One of the key strengths of the Sunrisers team lies in their bowling attack. However, the pacer battery will be tested against the star-studded batting line of RCB including Faf du Plessis, Virat Kohli, Glenn Maxwell, and wicketkeeper-batter Dinesh Karthik.

SRH’s predicted playing XI for the PBKS’s clash: Abhishek Sharma, Kane Williamson (c), Rahul Tripathi, Nicholas Pooran (wk), Aiden Markram, Shashank Singh, Jagadeesha Suchith, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Marco Jansen, Umran Malik, T Natarajan.
