PSL 2018: Shahid Afridi apologises to Saif Badar for his rude send-off

The ongoing third edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL) is approaching the knockouts faster than ever as it is bringing the emotions of the players in the game as well. The players of respective teams are trying their best to qualify for the playoffs. Shahid Afridi who is known to play the game with his spirits high gave a rude send-off to the youngster Saif Badar during the course of the game. However, he has apologised to him over the same and has clarified the reason for his outburst.
The incident happened during the match between Karachi Kings and Multan Sultans on Saturday when the 19-year-old Badar smashed the veteran Afridi for a gigantic six. However, his experience came to the fore on the next ball itself and castled the young cricketers which left Badar distraught. Though what happened later was shocking as Afridi gave him a rude send-off by pointing him to go towards his dug-out. It was completely unexpected from him as the batsman was also left wondering over his gestures.
Karachi won the game comfortably in the end by 63 runs as they bundled Sultans out for just 125 runs. However, soon after the game Saif Badar took a step forward and retweeted the tweet of the official handle of Pakistan Super League which featured the video of his wicket and captioned it as, “Still love you Shahid bhai #legend .” This gesture from the youngster also left Shahid Afridi feeling sorry over his actions and the veteran rightfully apologised him soon.
He clarified that he couldn’t control his emotions during the course of the game and showed his support to the budding cricketer of his country. “Im sorry what happened that was momentum of the game..I always support my youngester.Good luck,” Afridi tweeted. It was nice to see that the player of the stature of Afridi accepted his mistake and apologised to a youngster and the fans were also happy over the same.
