It will be action on back-to-back days for the Islamabad United in PSL 2019. Just about a day after the loss against Multan Sultans, the team will be back on the field to face the Quetta Gladiators. Both these teams won the first game they played in the tournament and have got their campaign off to decent starts.

But, things went wayward for the United in their second game where a poor batting display saw the opposition get the better of them. In a fast-paced tournament such as this one, it is important to get some wins under the belt early on. The Islamabad franchise will look to get back on track while the Gladiators will look to carry forward the momentum.

Pitch and Conditions

It seems much easier batting against the new ball in Dubai. As the ball gets older, it tends to hold up slightly and the bowlers forge back into the game. The team that survives this phase of play better could end up triumphant. Chasing is highly preferable at this venue. There is a chance of rain in the afternoon but the skies might clear up before the game gets underway.

Islamabad United

Islamabad United will look to rope Ian Bell into the eleven to add more stability to the batting order. One player between Philip Salt and Samit Patel will have to sit out to fit Ian Bell in. Since Salt has failed in both the games, he might be sidelined. The franchise could also ponder over including Wayne Parnell in the eleven.

Quetta Gladiators

The Quetta Gladiators have got limited options at this point in time with some of their overseas players still not available. Thus, they might look to play the same eleven as they did in their last match. The side is likely to back Sohail Tanvir and Fawad Ahmed who didn’t have the best of outings. The management will hope that the top-order will come good this time around.
