Peshawar Zalmi registered their first win of the 2020 PSL as they defeated the defending champions Quetta Gladiators on Saturday. The Quetta team could only score 148/5 batting first as all the batsmen barring Sarfaraz Ahmed (41 off 25) struggled to score a quicker rate. Jason Roy’s unbeaten 57-ball 73 couldn’t make a big difference for his team.

Kamran Akmal showed his intent by scoring 20 runs in the very first over of the chase. Kamran raced to a fifty from 20 balls and brought up his hundred in 54 balls as Peshawar chased down the target losing four wickets and nine balls to spare.
