Ramiz Raja reckons cricket world has unearthed the new best fast bowler

Pakistan assumed ascendancy in the ongoing Test against Australia in Abu Dhabi. After struggling at 57/5 at one stage, the hosts managed to post 282 on the board. On a relatively flat track, Pakistani bowlers managed to bundle out the visitors for a mere 145 to take the driver’s seat. Needless to concede, the pundits are lauding the stupendous effort.

Ramiz Raja, the former Pakistani cricketer, looked all pleased with the way Pakistani bowlers dictated terms in the game. Among the lot, the one who bagged the limelight was Mohammad Abbas. The new ball bowler returned with figures of 5/33 to be the pick of the bowlers. With his feat, he managed to reach 50 wickets milestone in Test cricket in just 10 matches.

His herculean feat prompted Ramiz to quote that Mohammad Abbas is perhaps the best fast bowler in the world. Abbas, who scalped a wicket on his second ball in Test cricket, made his debut last season against Windies. He had returned with 15 wickets on the tour and has been a regular face of the side since then. He was instrumental in Pakistan’s win over England in the Lord’s Test last season.

And now, his five-for has put his side in the commanding position in the ongoing Test against Australia. Ramiz Raja, after the stellar show of Abbas, took to micro-blogging site Twitter to hail the performance. He questioned the fans if Abbas is the best fast bowler in the world right now.

To add weight to his opinions, Ramiz cited that the Sialkot lad has managed to take wickets on dead rubbers and against all the oppositions he has played against.
