In the words of Mr. Yusuf Pathan- Director, Cricket Academy of Pathans, “We are providing every possible assistance to the aspiring cricketers and expect to become the first preference for all the ambitious and aspirant cricketers in Ranchi. Through our world-class coaching, our students are now getting selected for district and state level matches. We have plans to open more academies in eastern region cities which will assist the budding cricketers to get trained in the right manner.”

Across India, 25 students have already been selected to represent at district and state level from CAP centers. The most recent selection was of Rajpal Chaudhary, a talented batsman from CAP Patna who represented Bihar at U-16 Vijay Merchant Trophy. CAP hopes to continue this trend in Ranchi as well and produce some national and international level cricketers in the future.

The academy provides coaching for children to play cricket as well as those who aspire to become coaches – so they may understand the technicalities of the game and in return execute their learned skills on kids. Also, the academy focuses on nutrition, psychology and the overall physical development of the students. CAP has tied up with the UK based cricket technology partner – Pitch Vision to track students’ performance in real time via a cutting-edge technology program. This technology bridges the gap between the Pathan brothers, coaches and the students.
