An unbeaten 163 from Uttar Pradesh’s Rinku Singh was the best knock on day three in the Round 3 of Ranji Trophy 2018-19. With the number 10 batsman Zeeshan Ansari, he added 140 runs for the 9th wickets. After Ansari was dismissed for 76, the side declared the innings with a massive score of 535/9. Rajesh Mohanty and Krishna Das were the other top performers with both of them picking up 11-wicket hauls in the match.

Mohanty’s brilliant spell helped his side, Odisha bag a 9-wicket win against Assam. In the other games, Kerala defeated Bengal by 9 wickets and Manipur won against Mizoram by 8 wickets. The Andhra team was lucky that the entire third day was washed out due to rain. Tamil Nadu was in the driver’s seat at the end of day 2 and were the favourites to win the match.

For the third consecutive day, rain played spoilsport in the game between Puducherry and Bihar. Not a single ball is bowled thus far in this match. Priyank Panchal, Aditya Waghmode, Deepak Hooda, Ashok Menaria, Pramod Chandila and A Kazi were the other players who registered centuries on day 3 of this round.
