Sri Lanka's hopes for the semi-final spot ended with Australia's narrow four-run win over Afghanistan. Sri Lanka beat Afghanistan in their last game to keep their hopes alive for the top-two finish in Group 1 but now will be looking to end their World Cup campaign with a memorable win against England.

First Pick: Moeen Ali, Liam Livingstone, Kusal Mendis

Moeen Ali smashed unbeaten 24 runs off just 12 balls against Ireland but is yet to make a big impact with a ball in this tournament. Sydney's pitch can prove helpful for the spin bowlers and Moeen can win extra points with both bat and ball. Livingstone scored 20 runs off 14 balls and bowled an economical spell against New Zealand in the last game and has scored 50 runs and has taken four wickets in this tournament so far. Kusal Mendis is enjoying a great tournament with 205 runs from seven innings despite the team's latest struggle.

Second Pick: Dhananjaya de Silva, Adil Rashid, Wanindu Hasaranga

Dhananjaya de Silva played a match-winning knock by scoring unbeaten 66 runs off 42 balls against Afghanistan in the last game. He has been excellent with both bat and ball with 168 runs and four wickets in the tournament so far. As expected, Wanindu Hasaranga is leading the wickets chart in the tournament with 13 wickets from seven innings at an impressive economy rate of 6.51. With pace bowlers struggling for wickets on Sydney's pitch, England's spin ace Adil Rashid can surprise Sri Lankan batters despite his poor outings in the tournament so far.
