Sunrisers Hyderabad pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar on Tuesday bowled wonderfully well to restrict the Kings XI Punjab 5 runs short of the eventual target set by the defending champions. The right-arm bowler helped his franchise end their two-match losing streak and bowled 15 dot balls in the four overs that he bowled.

The player also gave away just 19 runs as he was highly economical, which is quite a thing to be proud of. However, after the match, the fast bowler donned the interviewer’s hat and had a quick question-answer session with Afghan leg-spinner Rashid Khan and former Afghanistan captain and all-rounder Mohammad Nabi.

Rashid Khan who was picked up by the Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL auction, which took place in the month of February admitted in the interview that he felt quite nervous after he was hit for 19 runs in his first over.

“I was nervous after conceding 19 runs in my first over. I knew that I had bowled loose deliveries, but was confident that I will bounce back”

Though Rashid was a bit expensive in his four overs going for 42 runs, he managed to dismiss two of Kings XI Punjab’s important batsmen the names being David Miller and Wriddhiman Saha. “I decided to bowl wicket to wicket and the plan was executed successfully. I will go with the same plan in the upcoming matches”

The 18-year-old also revealed his strategy while bowling applying which he has been extremely successful in this year’s Indian Premier League.

“My strategy is always to bowl just opposite of a batsman’s mind. If a batsman tries to counter the googly, I try to bowl the legspinner as much as possible. This trick always helps me in getting wickets. I follow this strategy and the batsman gives his wicket automatically.”

Mohammad Nabi in his first IPL encounter did not have a good time with the bat and was hit for a huge six by Eoin Morgan as he bowled his first delivery. But the bowler did well to make a comeback as he cleaned up the English batsman with a beautiful delivery.

“I was under pressure as this was my first-ever IPL match. The pressure increased for me when my first ball was slammed for a six”

“Our team was 10-15 runs short and I had decided to deliver at any cost. I bowled wicket-to-wicket and that worked. This was my first match and will definitely do well in the coming matches”
