Fans rejoiced as MS Dhoni carted Al-Amin Hossain for a huge six for the winning runs in the Asia Cup final. The dugout also was happy but Ravichandran Ashwin, who seemed to be letting out his humorous side more often these days, had a different take on MS Dhoni’s six. The off-spinner gave an epic one liner in the dugout which had everyone in splits.
Ashwin seemed to be bothered about the team’s journey to the team hotel, and lamented, “Had we taken the ball (instead of the team bus), we could have avoided the Dhaka traffic.”
India’s fielding coach R Sridhar tweeted that Ashwin had said this in the dugout, and the ace offie replied as well.
@coach_rsridhar just for jolly?

Earlier, Ashwin had pointed out Bangladesh’s slow moving traffic in a humorous Twitter conversation with Harsha Bhogle before the tournament had started. Harsha Bhogle had tweeted about his travel schedule and expressed his relief over some travel-free days ahead while Mirpur.
“Last 20 days: Sydney, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Jodhpur, Pune, Ranchi, Visakhapatnam, Goa, Hyderabad. Now Dhaka. One place for a few days!” Bhogle had tweeted
However, Ashwin cleared Bhogle of all his misconception by reminding him of the Dhaka traffic.
“@bhogleharsha Dhaka traffic will ensure you stay at one signal for more time than your last 20 days suggest”
Bhogle also was amused and made a quick reply.
“@ashwinravi99 Haha! When the time comes to move from the team bus to our mode of transport, will be more apparent! May it take a long thought!”
