'Raw emotions, absolute joy' - RCB shares video of squad celebrations following MI's triumph over DC

The whole RCB squad were in front of the television screen and showered a lot of emotions during MI vs DC game.

Royal Challengers Bangalore posted a video on Instagram of scenes in the camp while watching the game between Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals on Saturday (May 21). The game was screened on a big source with the squad sitting in front of it and Virat Kohli again stole the show with his animated celebrations. RCB desperately wanted MI to win the fixture for them to stay in the tournament and go into the playoffs of IPL 2022.

The video consisted of different sections right from the toss until the last ball of the game and the video concluded with a short interview of skipper Faf du Plessis, and Virat Kohli as well. RCB fans were also spotted in the video celebrating with high emotions and such has been their desire to see the team lift their maiden IPL trophy.

Kohli was punching the air for every wicket that Delhi Capitals lost and was quite disappointed when Rohit got out in the chase early. However, he kept showering his emotions once Tim David got into his groove and finally, thanked MI for helping them make the playoffs for the third consecutive year.

Glenn Maxwell, in a way to address the importance of the moment, delivered a short speech as well and motivated the players ahead of an important Eliminator clash against Lucknow Super Giants on May 25 at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.

“This is how much it meant to the boys last night. Onwards and upwards,” RCB’s official Instagram post captioned.

Earlier in the game, Delhi Capitals posted 159 on the board in their 20 overs with Rovman Powell top-scoring with 43 and Mumbai Indians chased down the score with five wickets left to send RCB into the playoffs.
