Both Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Shikhar Dhawan opted out of the second Test in Nagpur. Bhuvi took the break for his marriage slated for 23rd of November. He has been in brilliant form with the ball across formats and was awarded the Man of the Match for his brilliant bowling in the Eden Gardens Test.

However, there has been suspense regarding Dhawan’s absence from the squad. He had cited personal reasons. Now it comes out that even Gabbar is busy attending a wedding function himself. It is reported that the dashing opener has taken leave to be available for his sister’s marriage.

Shikhar even shared an amazing picture with his wife Ayesha Dhawan on Instagram. While he could be seen sporting a suit, his wife was wearing a beautiful gown. He posted the picture with a caption, “All set for my lovely sister wedding #BSwedding”

He later posted a picture with his sister and his wife on the occasion. He further congratulated his sister on getting married and welcomed the new couple to the club.

He posted, “Congrats to my sister and Bason for getting married. Welcome to the club and God bless them @ba_son15 @aesha.dhawan5″

The left-hander displayed some tremendous form in the first Test. While he was dismissed early in the first innings, he played a stupendous knock of 94 in the second innings. Though he fell short of his hundred, Dhawan’s batting effort helped India to a wonderful start to their second innings. His record against Sri Lanka has been remarkable at home and away.

Murali Vijay is likely to replace him as India play the Nagpur Test from tomorrow, i.e. the 24th of November. The right-hander has been out of action for the past eight months owing to injuries. However, in the absence of Dhawan, Vijay, in all probability will be making a comeback in the white jersey for India and would want to make it count.
