Reports: BCCI and Emirates Cricket Board get a nod from UAE authorities to allow capacity crowd for T20 WC final

The T20 World Cup 2021 is going to take place in the UAE and fans around the world cannot contain their excitement levels as the mega tournament is returning after five years. It is known that people are seeing fans during the IPL 2021 matches in the UAE and in the same sequence, BCCI and Emirates Cricket Board (ECB) have taken permission from UAE officials to allow crowd for the finale of T20 WC.

The finale of the high-profile event will be held in the Dubai International Stadium and fans wouldn’t like to miss the golden chance to witness it. This is why BCCI and Emirates Board have worked to seek permission to allow capacity crowd, from the UAE government.

“The BCCI and the ECB is keen to have a capacity crowd for the final. It would be an electric atmosphere if permission for the same if granted keeping all protocols in mind. The boards have sought permission from the authorities, keeping fingers crossed,” said an official in the know of developments as quoted by News 18.

BCCI has the hosting right of the T20 World Cup to be held in the UAE

It is known that though the T20 World Cup is being held in the Gulf nation, BCCI has the hosting rights and this is why they are doing things to make it a wonderful experience for fans. As per the reports, BCCI are willing to have 25,000 spectators in the stands for the finale night.

With fans already back for IPL 2021, it is expected that finale night will have a cheering crowd in the stands. In the case of IPL, strict COVID-19 guidelines have been put forward for the fans. As per the reports, Dubai is allowing fans who are double vaccinated and they don’t need the latest RT PCR reports.

Talking of Sharjah, fans at least need to be of 16 years and be fully vaccinated. Apart from that, they need to carry the latest 48 hours valid RT PCR reports too. Rules are almost similar at Abu Dhabi but fans aged 12-15 don’t need to carry vaccination proof.
