Ritika Sajdeh makes a promise to Yuzvendra Chahal on the latter's birthday

The Indian cricket team is currently in England, where they recently played a T20I followed by an ODI series. While the Men in Blue came out trumps in the 20-overs format, Virat Kohli’s men slumped in the One Day fixtures. En route their journey, the spinners played a pivotal role. Kuldeep Yadav turned out to be a tough nut to crack. On the other hand, Yuzvendra Chahal didn’t have much to cheer for.

In the T20I series, Chahal could only muster one wicket as the English batsmen didn’t have much difficulty to figure him out. In the 50-overs version, while Kuldeep finished with nine wickets, the Haryana-born spinner churned out only a couple of wickets. His travails with the leather were palpable as he strained to put the opposition batting under pressure.

Rohit and Ritika’s admiration for Chahal

Moreover, he didn’t find a place in the Test squad for India’s upcoming matches against the Brits. However, he won’t have any shortage of cricket in the next one month. The spinner was drafted in the India A team, which will play a couple of four-day matches against South Africa A at Belagavi and Bangalore respectively. The tweaker turned 28 today and wishes have poured in for him from the cricketing fraternity.

Rohit Sharma, who scored a couple of centuries in the ODI and T20I series, wished Chahal and showered him with love on the auspicious occasion. He took to Twitter and wrote, “Wish you a great birthday little bro, may you continue to spin everyone into your web and impress one and all. And hope you find that missing tooth @yuzi_chahal . Much love RS”.

In the meantime, Ritika Sajdeh, Rohit’s better-half, wished Chahal and promised him that the Indian batsman would be back with him in the future. She replied on Rohit’s tweet and wrote, “Happiest birthday @yuzi_chahal ! I’m sure you miss @ImRo45 today but I’ll have him back to you in no time”.
