Rohit Sharma shares special birthday wish for Ranveer Singh

Ace Indian batsman Rohit Sharma is currently having a break from international cricket. He was rested for the tour to the Caribbean as the selectors thought it was in the best interest of the Indian opener to get some rest after a hectic ICC Champions Trophy. Rohit Sharma had finished as the second leading run getter in the tournament and was instrumental in India’s dream run in the tournament to the finals.

While the Indian team is sweating it out on the field in the Caribbean at the moment, Rohit certainly is making his presence felt on the social media. One of the most active cricketers on the social media, Rohit is known for sharing updates every now and then with his followers. In a most recent update, he had a special birthday wish for the popular Indian Bollywood actor, Ranveer Singh.

Ranveer Singh turned 32 on 6th July this year. He is an ardent follower of cricket and has been involved showing his eagerness and excitement for the game. Most recently, he made an appearance in the pre match show during one of the Champions Trophy fixtures.

The Indian opener is known to be good friends with the Bollywood actor. He took to the micro blogging site Twitter to come up with an apt birthday wish for his friend. In his tweet, he named Ranveer Singh as Bajirao. This comes in reference from the fact that Ranveer Singh had earlier played the titular role in the movie Bajirao Mastani. His role was very well appreciated in the movie and his performance won him quite a few accolades.
