We are done and dusted with the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 mega auction and all 10 squadshave been finalized. It was an action-packed event as many cricketers went big under the hammer and fetched massive deals. At the same time, several notable names went unsold. Former Indian pacer S Sreesanth belongs to the latter category.

The Kerala fast bowler entered the bidding event with a base price of INR 50 lakh but none of the 10 teams showcased any interest in him. While Sreesanth would have been disappointed, he’s determined to continue his hard work. After having gone unsold, Sreesanth took to Twitter and shared a 15-second clip of him singing a popular Bollywood song ‘Ruk Jaana Nahi Tu Kahin Haar Ke’ which apparently means never give up.

S Sreesanth thanks fans in a heartfelt post

“Always grateful and always looking forward…lots of love and respect to each and everyone of u.:om Nama Shivaya,” read the caption of the clip.

It must be noted that Sreesanth has represented multiple teams likes Kings XI Punjab (now Punjab Kings), now-defunct Kochi Tuskers Kerala and Rajasthan Royals in IPL. His alleged involvement in spot-fixing during the 2013 season led to a ban on him. Following the end of his ban, Sreesanth made a comeback in domestic cricket and even expressed his desire to represent India at the international stage once again. He was recently name in Kerala squad for the upcoming Ranji Trophy season.

“Gods grace and lots of hard work and perseverance..thanks a lot to each and everyone of u for keeping faith in my ability..Great to be back in whites just the beginning..gonna keep giving my very best every single moment #humbled #skyisnotthelimit #love #bcci,” the fast bowler wrote on Twitter on Sunday (February 13). Kerala will play its first game on Thursday (February 17).

Speaking of the high-voltage bidding event, for the very first time, a total of 11 players fetched INR 10 crore or more in an IPL auction. Among them, Ishan Kishan was the most expensive as Mumbai Indians had to splash a whooping INR 15.25 crore to reacquire his services. Meanwhile, IPL 2022 is expected to get underway in the last week of March.
