India Under-19s started the Quadrangular U19 Series with a big win against the South Africa Under-19s whom they have beaten three times in four meetings in the current tour. India registered a 66-run win as skipper Priyam Garg scored a brilliant hundred. They will now be up against Zimbabwe team who messed up their chances in the match against New Zealand.
They first let the Blackcaps finish on 204/9 from reduced to 152/9. In the chase, Zimbabwe had a 72-run opening stand in only 9 overs. From there on, Zimbabwe kept losing wickets at regular intervals but were placed at 197/5. When 8 runs needed for a win, the Zimbabwe side lost four wickets for one run and eventually bowled out for 202 and lost the game by 2 runs.
