SA20 Winners List from 2023 to 2026

South Africa’s premier T20 competition, SA20, has quickly become one of the most loved and viewed franchise T20 cricket competitions. The fourth edition of SA20 concluded on January 25, 2026, with MI Cape Town lifting their maiden title.

Sunrisers Eastern Cape made history by winning the inaugural SA20 title in 2023 and successfully defending their crown in 2024. Led by Aiden Markram, they defeated Pretoria Capitals in the first-ever SA20 final in Johannesburg, winning by four wickets. The 2024 edition saw them continue from where they left off, finishing at the top of the points table with seven wins in 10 matches. In the final at Newlands, Cape Town, the Sunrisers crushed the Durban Super Giants by 89 runs. In the previous edition, Rashid Khan-led MI Cape Town ended Sunrisers Eastern Cape’s quest for a third consecutive title. In the final, Cape Town defeated the Sunrisers by 76 runs in Johannesburg.

Meanwhile, in the recently concluded SA20, the Sunrisers Eastern Cape registered their name in history by clinching a record third title. Under new captain Tristan Stubbs, the franchise held its nerve in a thrilling final against Pretoria Capitals at Cape Town. 

Chasing 159, the SEC lost four wickets before Stubbs and Matthew Breetzke stitched a match-winning stand. The duo put together a brilliant 108-run stand for the fifth wicket, the highest such partnership for SEC in T20s, surpassing Stubbs’ earlier record of 88 with James Coles. Breetzke anchored the chase, while Stubbs provided the late finish, sealing the title with a six in the final over to complete the thrilling finish.
