Former Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar recently took to micro blogging site Twitter to send his good regards to the Indian cricket team. Tendulkar congratulated the Virat Kohli-led side for their thumping win against Sri Lanka in the Nagpur Test. In the match, team India beat the visitors by an innings and 239 runs. This was a record win for the Indian team in Test cricket in terms of the margin of victory.

It was a thorough team effort from the Indian side. After a close game in Kolkata, the hosts bounced back big time to completely outplay the opposition in all the three departments of the game. Murali Vijay, Cheteshwar Pujara, Virat Kohli, and Rohit Sharma raked up tons in the Indian first innings to ensure that the team’s total was well past the 600 run mark. They managed to have a handsome lead to their credit.

In the Sri Lankan second innings, it was Ravichandran Ashwin, who scalped four wickets to be the pick of the bowlers. En route his four-wicket haul, Ashwin went past the 300 wickets landmark in the longest format of the game. Ashwin became the fastest to reach the milestone. Considering these match winning performances, Sachin Tendulkar posted a tweet lauding the efforts of Virat Kohli, Murali Vijay, Rohit Sharma, and R Ashwin. He, however, missed out on mentioning the name of Cheteshwar Pujara.

Here is the tweet:

“Feel so proud of our #TeamIndia players. Yet another outstanding performance from @imVkohli , @mvj888 , @ImRo45.. and @ashwinravi99 cleaning up with those 300 wickets. Well done, guys!,” Sachin Tendulkar wrote in his tweet.

Well, the social media does not forgive anyone. The fans were quick to notice the big name missing. Pujara had played a vital role in holding the innings together. Twitterati had their responses reserved on the tweet shared by Sachin Tendulkar.
