Sachin Tendulkar tweets Agneepath dialogue while wishing Amitabh Bachchan on winning Dadasaheb Phalke Award

India’s all-time legend Amitabh Bachchan was recently named as the recipients of winning Dada Saheb Phalke award 2019-20. He made his debut in Bollywood industry back in 1969 through ‘Saath Hindustani’. After the news broke, people from all fraternity poured wishes on social media for the legendary actor. The 76-year-old legendary actor won this prestigious award for his enormous contribution in the film industry of India. He is the son of India’s great poet Harivanshrai Bachchan.

On social media, there was a huge list of people wishing on his great achievement but Sachin Tendulkar, who is one of the greats in Indian cricket, gave a unique angle in his tweet while wishing Big B. The former Indian cricketer used a dialogue from the movie of Agneepath that came back in 1990.

Sachin’s unique message for Amitabh Bachchan

In his tweet, he wrote, “Vijay Dinanath Chauhan, Poora Naam. Baap Ka Naam Dinanath Chauhan, Maa Ka Naam Suhasini Chauhan. Gaon Mandwa. Umar 36…” a line that gives me goosebumps even today! May you continue to win hearts across the globe, Amit ji. किरदार अनेक पर शहंशाह बस एक #DadaSahebPhalkeAward”, which was later retweeted by many people.

Prakash Javdekar, the Union Broadcasting Minister of India announced this news through his Twitter handle which included a message along with it. After which including Lata Mangeshkar and Rajinikanth, had extended their wishes for Bachchan, who remains to be one of the most respected figures in the Indian film industry.

Amitabh Bachchan had a great career in the Bollywood industry throughout his life. Although he saw a great downfall when he gave away a string of 17 flop movies after that he never looked back. He gave big hits like Deewar (1975), Sholay (1975), Amar Akbar Anthony (1977) and Coolie (1983) to his name; Bachchan ruled Bollywood for second-half of the 70s and well through to early 90s.

Bachchan was one of those big stars that turned to the TV industry making it a big medium for any Bollywood star to come close to the audience. He also hosted a popular show Kaun Banega Crorepati, which is currently moving in its 11th season.
