Sachin Tendulkar wishes Mahendra Singh Dhoni ahead of the latter's 300th ODI

The iconic Sachin Tendulkar took to his official Twitter handle to welcome the inventor of the helicopter shot to the 300 match club.

Legendary Indian cricketer, Mahendra Singh Dhoni is all set to wear the blue colours of India for the 300th time as far as the 50 over format is concerned. The 4th ODI between Sri Lanka and India will make Dhoni the 6th Indian to achieve this remarkable feat after Sachin Tendulkar (463), Rahul Dravid (344), Mohammad Azharuddin (334), Sourav Ganguly (311) and Yuvraj Singh (304).

The iconic Sachin Tendulkar took to his official Twitter handle to welcome the inventor of the helicopter shot to the 300 match club. Tendulkar who is the most capped ODI player not only among the Indians but the whole world termed the achievement as a special one. He wished Mahendra Singh Dhoni ahead of today’s encounter and hoped for him to have a fruitful game. Tendulkar also paired the tweet with a picture of himself with Dhoni from the time when the duo shared the field together for the country.

Tendulkar’s tweet read “Wearing the ODI cap for the 300th time is definitely a special achievement! Hope you have a great game today, @msdhoni! #Dhoni300.”

However, Tendulkar was not the only one, who wished the charismatic leader prior to his special match. Out of favour batsman, Suresh Raina also wished Dhoni in a beautiful tweet. In his tweet, Raina labeled Dhoni as his inspiration and paid tribute to the number 7. Suresh Raina also had a picture for the moment as he added a picture of his hugging the man. there is no doubt over the fact that Raina and Dhoni share a bond of mutual love and respect. The duo has been involved in several match winning performances for the country and their stint for the Chennai Super Kings will be remembered by fans for years to come.
