Sachin’s Blasters v Warne’s Warriors, 1st T20 in pics: The 1st T20 between the Blasters and Warriors unfolded some scintillating candid moments and along with some fine performances.

Wasim Akram displayed a class act, while Shoaib Akhtar still carried some raw pace. Ricky Ponting played a match winning knock of unbeaten 48, while Kumar Sangakkara and Sachin Tendulkar took the world to a decade back.

Kumar Sangakkara’s 41 off 29 balls, along with 3 sixes and 2 boundaries were vital, as Ricky Ponting did the rest with a match winning 48 not out. With 6 runs to win from 17 balls, Jonty Rhodes recalled all the good times by hitting a lolly from Tendulkar to the stands.

Warriors won the match by 6 wickets and took a 1-0 lead going into the second game of the 3 match series.

Captain Shane Warne received the man of the match award for his game-changing 3-20.
