Shubman Gill raring to make impact in IPL 2021 second leg

The remainder of the IPL 2021 is set to start from September 19 in the UAE. Gill, who missed the ongoing Test match series against England owing to an injury, has recovered and will be seen in action during the second leg of IPL 2021. Kolkata Knight Riders registered just two victories from the seven matches that they played in the first leg of the tournament. Hence, the team will be all raring to change their fortunes in the second half.

Gill commented on the team’s chances in IPL 2021 and pinned his hopes on the side. He stated that the aim of the team will be to make it to the top four and that they are strong contenders for the same.

“I think we are very much in contention to finish in the top 4. Whichever team qualifies, you never know what will happen. Hopefully, we will win the remaining matches, make sure we qualify, and then we’ll see where we go from there. If we keep doing what we have done in the past years and just enjoy our game, then it is possible that we will do well or qualify,” Gill said as quoted by SportsCafe.
