Scott Styris' wife tries to troll him, fails miserably
Eventually, it was husband Scott who won the head to head battle.
Former Kiwi all-rounder Scott Styris’s wife decided to use the blessings of social media to troll her ‘uncaring’ husband. Styris, who is now a commentator, is busy with his commitments in the second edition of Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL). The incident took place on the 28th of May this year. The day holds a special significance for Mr and Mrs Styris since it is the date of their wedding anniversary. But wife Nicky thought that her husband has completely forgotten about the auspicious date and decided to take advantage of his situation.
Being a sports presenter, Nicky had the liberty to use the “moments of the week” of Newshub Super Sport Sunday to troll her husband. “Thank you for remembering our special day. Oh, that’s right – you didn’t,” she said. “You wake up in the morning, it’s your wedding anniversary and you think flowers, breakfast in bed y’know, things like that and nothing,” said the wife.
Even her co-host was surprised to hear such an accusation on a sports show. However, she was proved wrong as Scott didn’t forget the date. “My wife is a TV presenter and she thought I forgot our wedding anniversary but I actually have a video to show that I didn’t forget, I cooked her dinner, flowers, the lot while she was on national TV telling everyone that I had forgotten our wedding anniversary, to make me look bad and embarrass me but I think I won,” said Scott in his defence. But that also wasn’t of much help to him, as Nicky said the roast he cooked for dinner was chewier than leather.
It’s all in the pants
It seems that Styris has taken the title of the 2008 album by Sexy Heroes In Transit quite seriously. The fuming husband decided to present her wife such a gift that she wouldn’t be able to forget. Scotty gifted his better half a pair of pants. What’s so special about it? The pants were covered with smiling faces of the former all-rounder.
“Got her back with some trousers with my face all over them. So we are having a battle, my wife and I, and it is a public one, which is not good but happens. I’ll always try and beat her. She’s competitive as well and that’s the problem,” said Scott.
