He also felt it will be a hard-fought series and the team adapting well to the conditions will win it.

England is currently experiencing its hottest summer ever and the conditions will play a huge role in the upcoming Test series. The spinners are expected to dominate the proceedings if it continues to be hot in the country as the pitches will crumble with every passing day. Even their premier pacer Stuart Broad feels the same and has said that even the groundstaff is unaware of the pitch’s behaviour in the first Test match which will commence on Wednesday.

The searing heat has soaked up all the moisture on the 22 yards in Birmingham which is the reason the visitors have stacked up their squad with three spinners. They might ponder over playing at least two of those in the first Test even as England are likely to play Adil Rashid and Moeen Ali both.

“It will be a really exciting series as both teams don’t know what the pitch will do neither the groundsmen really know because probably they haven’t experienced this sort of weather in England for a long time. The lack of moisture that has been around, players will have to adapt,” Broad said while speaking to ESPN Cricinfo ahead of the series opener.

India is a standout side in the world

Stuart Broad was also effusive in praising the Indian side who are currently the number 1 side in the longest format of the game. He believed that all the players have adjusted to the conditions and it will be an exciting series. “India are a stand outside in world cricket and they have got some wonderful players, who have adjusted to conditions to all around the world,” he added.

It’s going to be a hard-fought series. What I really enjoy is a five-Test series. Generally, your best players win you five-match series. Let’s hope, we come out on top,” the fast bowler concluded hoping that England will be able to beat their opponents in the five-match rubber.
