Several Pakistan players to participate in the Uganda T20 League
The league was initially scheduled to commence from Sunday, December 17, but all the four matches scheduled on first two days of the league were abandoned.

The Afro T20 league is set to be hosted in Uganda across three venues. The tournament features international players from India, Pakistan, USA, West Indies, Kenya and local players. And in a bid to send their players to Uganda, several Pakistani cricketers have been given NOC by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
According to a statement issued by the PCB, the Afro T20 League is approved by the Uganda Cricket Association and the International Cricket Council (ICC). The statement also mentions the fact that most of the players seeking a NOC are currently not involved in domestic cricket.
“Afro T20 League is being played in Uganda in December 2017 which is approved by the Uganda Cricket Association and ICC,” the PCB said.
“The league has requested a number of Pakistani players for participation. PCB has considered this matter and after noting that most of the requested players are currently not involved in domestic cricket, therefore they are being issued the necessary NOCs.” the statement added.
Pakistan international players are playing for various teams in the league

According to reports, several Pakistan international players are playing for various teams in this league. Former star cricketer Saeed Ajmal is set to feature for the Warrior Hippos franchise which will be led by first class cricketer Saad Altaf. Mukhtar Ahmed, Mohammad Khalil, and Shakeel Ansar also feature alongside Ajmal in the team.
Humayun Farhat and Riaz Afridi have been named in Royal Elephants’ team list while Shahid Yousuf and Irfan Fazil are playing for Rising Zebras team.
Hasan Raza has been bestowed with captaincy duties of Charging Leopards. Fast bowler Imran Khan is also part of the Leopards’ squad while opening batsman Yasir Hameed will be leading Mighty Rhinos squad in the Afro T20 League.
