Shah Rukh Khan agrees with wife Gauri Khan’s message for KKR

The Eden Gardens witnessed a spectacular game today with the home team registering an astounding victory. The win ensured that KKR’s fate lied in their own hands. They now stand a must win game situation against Sun Risers Hyderabad who are at the top of the points table.

If KKR goes on to attain 16 points, they’ll become the third team to qualify for the playoffs. However, if they don’t, there are still a certain number of permutations and combinations that may take them to the playoffs. A scenario where two or more teams are locked at 14 points teams highly unlikely.

If such a situation arises, then the net run rate might come into existence. However, the problem for Kolkata is that their NRR is in negative. Hence, if Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore go on to win their last couple of games, they may well bow out of the tournament.

The reason being that both the teams enjoy a healthy run rate. Bangalore helped their cause with a scintillating victory against the Kings XI Punjab. Hence, they would rather be hoping to defeat Kings XI Punjab and book their playoffs berth rather than depending upon NRR.

SRK’s wife Gauri Khan took to Twitter to pass on the message. She looked forward to the Kolkata Knight Riders attaining one more victory to book their spot in the final four. She also shared a picture of the team alongside the caption: “Come on @KKRiders! Let’s win the next one …”

Shah Rukh Khan quoted his wife’s tweet and nodded in appreciation. It was good to see the couple rooting for their team by showing their support on Twitter. It was also interesting to see them conversing on Twitter as they don’t stay in much limelight.
