Shakib and Mahmudullah to take part in special practice game

The Bangladesh cricketers recently took part in the Nidahas Trophy where they were defeated by India in the Final at the R.Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. Thereafter, the players moved to play the playoffs of the recently concluded Pakistan Super League (PSL). Meanwhile, the league games of the Dhaka Premier League was also being staged.

However, several players couldn’t take part owing to international commitments and the event in Pakistan. However, they will now be participating in the Super Sixes of the tournament. However, the likes of Mahmudullah and Shakib Al Hasan, the Bangladesh skipper, won’t be a part of the event as the teams of both stalwarts have been eliminated after the league stage.

However, as per reports in bdcrictime.com, the two cricketers will be participating in a special match organized by the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB). Meanwhile, Minhajul Abedin Nannu, the chief selector, confirmed the scheduling of the game in a recent media interaction. The game will be in a T20 format and will be staged at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur.

Both Mahmudullah and Shakib-al-Hasan have been integral parts of the Bangladesh team over the years. Mahmudullah has played a vital role in Bangladesh’s erstwhile campaign in the T20 triangular tournament. Both have been declared the skipper of their respective teams, which will take place in Dhaka. The game is expected to be a thriller for the audience.
