Former Aussie spin legend and a current commentator Shane Warne has revealed that he won’t be part of the commentary crew anymore for the ongoing Test series between India and Australia. Taking to his social media platform, Warne made this announcement.

He will leave for Los Angeles and whether it is due to a personal or professional reason remains to be seen. Before leaving, Warne acknowledged BCCI and Star Sports for hosting him as a commentator for the opening Test of the current series.

Warne has been regularly giving insights on the ongoing Test series between India and Australia and was critical of Steve O’Keefe’s selection in the opening Test. He was later trolled by all and sundry as O’Keefe stunned the Indians with a match haul of 12/70 which gave the Aussies their maiden Test win on Indian soil in 13 years time. He also blamed the Indian batsmen for their poor execution of shots in the opening Test in Pune which saw them lose a Test on home soil for the first time in 5 years.

Despite Warne’s departure for Los Angeles, he expressed his desire to return to India and join any of the IPL franchise or be associated with Star Sports for commentary duty during the Vivo IPL 2017.

“Thank you so much for having me BCCI & Star Sports. “Always love coming to India & being involved with cricket as I love the passion of the fans here. I hope to be involved more down the track with either an IPL franchise, more commentary with Star or both. I also hoped you enjoyed the commentary on the 1st test too. This will be a great series. Disappointed not be part of it, but will be watching from LA, NZ & Melbourne over the next few weeks. Good luck to both teams & may the best team win !!! See you tomorrow Los Angeles !” Warne wrote.
