Shane Watson opines on his duties as the President of ACA

The former Aussie cricketer Shane Watson said that it is a proud moment for him and is excited about it. He also feels that he has some big shoes to fill in the job. However, he took to his official Twitter handle to express his feelings.

“I am truly honoured to be elected as the President of the ACA as it evolves into the future. I have big shoes to fill with the people who have gone before me and I am super excited about this opportunity to continue to give back to the game that has given me so much,” Watson said in his tweet.

Watson will hold a strong voice in order to protect the rights of the cricketers if any such situation comes. This policy, amid a host of other changes, assures Australian women that cricket is a sport which can now support you and your family.

And for girls coming through who love sport, like my daughter, it says that cricket is a sport where you will be able to have a career,” the former Australian all-rounder said as quoted by cricket.com.au. In the upcoming season of the T10 league, Shane Watson will play for Deccan Gladiators that will start from November 14.
