Former Australian cricketer Shane Watson could not hide his excitement for the upcoming season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL). Watson is associated with the defending champions Islamabad United in the popular T20 league. Needless to say, the veteran Aussie all-rounder was an influential part of the franchise in the inaugural edition of the tournament.

Coming into the second year, the tournament promises to be bigger and better than the previous one. Hence, the excitement levels are bound to soar high. Shane Watson is no exception in showing his excitement for the tournament. Watson took to the social media to express the same. He called the time as an exciting part of the year.

While everything about the tweet was perfect and heartwarming for the PSL fans, the Aussie all-rounder made a blooper. He tagged the wrong page of the Pakistan Super League on the social media. Instead of tagging ‘thePSLT20’, Watto tagged ‘OfficialT20’. In his tweet, Watson wrote, “Only just over a week until I am back with my mates at @IsbUnited. It is always an exciting time of the year. @OfficialPSL”.

Well, to speak in the defense of Watson, he perhaps would not even know that he has committed this blooper. All that he must have been concerned about while writing the tweet was the tournament and definitely not the official social media page of it. Truth be told, the tagging and untagging does not matter much anyway.

What should matter to the fans and the game lovers, is his excitement for the tournament. Meanwhile, the official Twitter handle of PSL also corrected Shane Watson with a tweet. They wrote, “Shane, I think you meant us. 😛 See you soon!” However, they soon deleted their tweet.

Talking about excitement, it is evident that Shane Watson is definitely not short on that coming into the second season of PSL. Here is what the people had to say about Watson’s tweet. While some chose to correct him, there were others who rather focused on the content than the semantics.
