Shapoor Zadran breaks the stump in two with his pace delivery

Team Afghanistan is having a merry time in the world cricket at the moment. They are currently hosting the Bangladeshi side in a three-match T20I series in Dehradun. They beat the Bangladesh team in the first T20I with a handsome margin. One of the top performers for them in the match was their pace bowler Shapoor Zadran. Zadran was not totally impressive right from the word go in the match.

But he had a big impact towards the end of the innings. He managed to run through the tail of the Bangladeshi lineup to accelerate the downfall of the opposition. A major highlight of the spell bowled by Shapoor Zadran was the wicket of Rubel Hossain. It was the impact that the wicket had but the way he dismissed Rubel that made all the news. Shapoor Zadran managed to break the stump in to two parts with his pace delivery.

The action perspired in the 18th over of the match. Bangladesh were struggling at 119/8 and things were only looking grim for them after 17.5 overs. On the last ball of the over, Shapoor bowled a length delivery to Rubel Hossain. Rubel had a wild swing at it and missed the ball altogether. The ball missed any connection with the bat and ended up crashing on the leg stump. The leg stump broke in to two parts and Zadran got his wicket.

Shapoor Zadran finished his spell with figures of 3/40 to his name in the four overs that he bowled. In the match, Afghanistan had posted 167 runs on the board after batting first. In response, Bangladesh bundled out for a paltry 122 in the 19 overs that they faced.

Rashid Khan was the pick of the bowlers for Bangladesh with figures of 3/13 to his name in the three overs that he bowled. Team Afghanistan look confident of coming up with another impressive show in the second game of the series as well to seal the series.
