The country of Pakistan witnessed a huge change in position as former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was removed from his post. Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has been appointed to take over the proceedings and the issue has been trending all over the country. While the laymen of the nation expressed their views on Twitter, there were celebrities who did the same.

The main story:

Former Pakistan cricketer Shoaib Akhtar became a victim of online trolls for committing a blunder on social media platform, Twitter. the bowler who was the fastest this world has ever seen, mixed up between a few honorary personalities which led to his mocking. The 41-year-old shared a picture where we can see the Pakistani President Mamnoon Hussain administering an oath to new Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi. But the bowler made a significant mistake as he paired the picture with a completely different caption referring to another story.

Shoaib Akhtar highlighted the story of Hindu political leader Mr. Darshan Lal who got rewarded with the position of a Cabinet Minister in the country. He also added that this is the country’s way of saying that it is a secular state. It is clear over here that he chose the wrong picture to prove his point as he mistook either the President Mamnoon Hussain or the Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi as Darshan Lal.

The speedster was mercilessly trolled by the Twitterati as people questioned the presence of Darshan Lal in the pic. While some people asked him where is Darshan Lal in the photo some people laughed at him for referring to Manmoon Hussain and Khaqan Abbasi as a Hindu. People also advised him to focus on cricket only instead of wasting time in politics.

However, Shoaib Akhtar came up with an answer quickly to justify himself. He asked the people to concentrate on the message and not the pic. Akhtar stated that his message was crystal clear and that is Pakistan respects all religion. He also mentioned that he used the President and Prime Minister’s pictures just as a reference.
