Smriti Mandhana anointed as brand-ambassador of a reputed firm

She is currently in South Africa involved in the ODI series.

Smriti Mandhana has emerged as one of India’s most dynamic batswomen in international cricket. She played a crucial role during India’s road to the Final in the ICC Women’s World Cup in England back in July. The left-hander notched a couple of centuries against England and the Windies to start her campaign. Subsequently, she hogged the headlines and was showered with accolades from the cricket fraternity.

The Indian women’s team is currently playing South Africa in an ICC Women’s Championship series and they have humbled the hosts in the first couple of games. Mandhana has also exhibited exemplary form and raced away to a jaw-dropping knock of 135 runs in the second ODI at Kimberley.

Bata welcomes Mandhana

Subsequently, she became the second female cricketer to score three centuries after Mithali Raj. As per reports in Sportswallah.com, immediately after the game, Bata Power announced Smriti Mandhana as their brand ambassador. In a recent interview, she spoke about her association with the reputed company.

“When I had contacted Bata Power, I got to know that the vision of the brand is to lead more and more youngsters in India towards fitness. That is why this is one of the brands I wanted to associate with. It is an honour to be the brand ambassador of the Bata Power because it reflects my personal style and values too.” Mandhana said.

Sandeep Kataria, the country manager of Bata India, also expressed his delight on her inclusion as the brand ambassador. “Smriti is among the most talented young sportspersons of the country and a strong role model for the youth. We are very excited to make Smriti the brand ambassador of Tata Power.” Kataria said.

Apart from international cricket, the Mumbai-born cricketer has also plied her trade in the Big Bash League in Australia. She has represented the Brisbane Heat in the 2016-17 edition of the tournament. After a successful beginning, it will be interesting to see how her career shapes up in the years to come.
