Team India qualifies for the semi-finals of T20 World Cup 2022
On back of Kohli's dazzling form, India has managed to win three out of four games in the T20 World Cup so far. And, with the Netherlands’ unexpected win over South Africa, team India managed to qualify for the semi-finals of the T20 World Cup. The Men in Blue have defeated Pakistan, Netherlands and Bangladesh so far but lost to South Africa early on. On the other hand, with their defeat at the hands of the Netherlands, the Proteas are now eliminated from the multi-nation tournament.
Being at the top of the table after round three, few experts predicted them to finish as the league leaders but that completely backfired with their back-to-back losses at the hands of Pakistan and the Netherlands. Meanwhile, that opened the door for either Pakistan or Bangladesh to qualify for the next round of the prestigious competition.
Meanwhile, India’s match against Zimbabwe is now just a formality. However, Zimbabwe will be desperate to cause another upset before bowing out of the tournament. In case, they manage to pull a win, it will give them the much-needed confidence to do well in international cricket.
Now, if India finishes as the league leader, the Rohit Sharma-led side will take on England at Adelaide Oval on Thursday, November 10. However, if they finish second, the Men in Blue will take on New Zealand at the iconic Sydney Cricket Ground on Wednesday, November 9.
