Before Rohit Sharma and Ritika Sajdeh’s journey from friendship to love and marriage, the duo had shared a business relationship. Ritika, who chose a career in sports event management post her graduation, managed Rohit on their very first meeting in 2008 during a commercial shoot.
Reportedly, it was Yuvraj Singh who introduced the duo and even jokingly warned Rohit to stay away from Ritika. Rohit was not too fond of Ritika initially, but their friendship blossomed as they met each other regularly during various events and campaigns.
The friendship eventually blossomed into love and after dating each other for six years, the duo got engaged on June 3, 2015 before tying the knot on December 13 in the same year. On December 30, 2018, the duo welcomed their first child Samaira.
Meanwhile, Rohit is sidelined from cricketing action due to an injury on his left thumb. The Indian skipper injured himself during the second ODI of the recently concluded series against Bangaldesh, which India lost 1-2. He will not be a part of the first Test starting on December 14, with KL Rahul set to lead India.
