‘I don't think we have had an away game’ - Dwayne Bravo heaps praise on massive support by CSK fans in IPL 2023

The 61st game of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 features a clash between the four-time champions Chennai Super Kings and the Nitish Rana-led Kolkata Knight Riders at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on Sunday, May 14.

As the MS Dhoni-led Chennai are all set to face off against Kolkata, they would be expected to have massive crowd support behind them, as has been the case in the ongoing cash-rich league. It is not just the MA Chidambaram Stadium but even in away games, the stands could be seen filled with yellow as the Chennai supporters usually come in massive numbers to show their support for the side.

The amazing support from the fans has been a big reason for Chennai’s success over the years and in the IPL 2023 too, things have been no different. Reflecting upon the same, bowling coach Dwayne Bravo came forward and opined that the vibe has been such that Chennai haven’t had a single away game throughout the season.

"We have the greatest fans in the world. Not only in Chennai, I don't think we have had an away game so far this season. Everywhere we go, the place is full of yellow. And that's the love that the fans have for us and obviously for Thala," Dwayne Bravo said in a video posted by CSK on Twitter.

"It is good to have them and see them going strong. It is our last home game, and we know that the fans are going to come out again in numbers if we get to the playoffs, which will be here, and it is going to be a big yellow party," he added.

Currently, the four-time champions find themselves in second place in the IPL points table with 15 points in 12 games. Their bowling attack has been especially on point in the IPL 2023, with several players like Tushar Deshpande and Ravindra Jadeja well into the race for the IPL purple cap. They would be keen on dismantling the batting attack with their bowling power which seems to be at the top of its game in the ongoing season.
