Star India batter Harleen Deol had a surreal opportunity to meet her cricketing idol, MS Dhoni, on Monday, January 15. Interestingly enough, this impromptu meeting took place when Dhoni was preoccupied with his preparations for the upcoming 2024 edition of the Indian Premier League.

Expressing her joy after meeting the former India captain, the 25-year-old took to her official social media handle and shared an image of her with the legend along with a heartfelt caption. Significantly, in 2020, Deol had designated the legendary wicketkeeper as her favourite cricketer and a source of inspiration.

"The moment which felt surreal. Cherishing every minute spent with my idol. It’s already cold in India But this is my #captaincool moment … Have idolised you as a player but after meeting you I am gonna idolise you as a person as well Still Can’t believe, I really met you #dreamsdocometrue," Deol wrote on her Instagram handle.
