IPL 2025: Best Catch of the Match – MI vs DC, Match 63
Rohit departed for a run-a-ball five.
Abishek Porel held onto a smart diving catch to his right to get rid of Rohit Sharma during Match 63 of the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League between Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals at the Wankhede Stadium on Wednesday, May 21. Rohit's stay at the crease was a short one as he departed for five runs scored off as many deliveries.
Rohit intended to flog a scrambled seam delivery from Mustafizur Rahman over long-on region. However, the lack of feet movement led to Rohit's undoing. The outside edge flew thick and fast but was caught smartly by Porel, who dived full length to his right to complete a well-judged catch. He pouched the ball with both hands to leave the sea of MI supports at the venue in absolute silence.
Meanwhile, coming in at No. 3, Will Jacks had to depart for 21 off 13 after a slower ball from Mukesh Kumar did the trick. The ball was on deliverd on a full length and pitched outside the off stump. Jacks intended to play it across the line, however, he went into the shot a bit too early. This meant that he got more height than distance, as it went high up into the night sky.
