A graceful flick off the pads by Shubman Gill off the bowling of Mohammed Shami resulted in the first six of the game during the ongoing IPL 2025 game between Gujarat Titans and Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Earlier in the evening, SRH won the toss and opted to field first.

The delivery was bowled full and strayed onto the GT skipper's pads. Gill made full use of the opportunity to help the ball along aerially for a 69-metre maximum to get the crowd going. Titants ended up scoring 11 in the first over.

GT came into the game with one change to their XI. Gerald Coetzee replaced Karim Janat in the squad. On the other hand, Pat Cummins announced an unchanged XI from their five-wicket victory against Chennai Super Kings at Chepauk. GT were comprehesively defeated by Rajasthan Royals in Jaipur by an eight-wicket margin.

.Ahead of the game, SRH could secure only three victories in the nine games they played. The much-hyped batting unit has not quite clicked for the Orange Army. The ongoing game against the champions of the 2022 edition could very well be termed as a must-win one for the runners-up to stay alive in the competition.

Gill has registered 415 runs in 10 innings in IPL 2025 up until now. The skipper has struck at an impressive 159. He has scored 40 fours and 15 sixes so far. Gill would be keen on capitalising with the bat and contribute with similar vital knocks.
