Ishan Kishan and Shubman Gill have emerged as the two biggest prospects for the Indian team in the future. Both are currently competing against each other in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023. Despite being competitors on the field, both Kishan and Gill share a precious bond off the field.

Recently, both batters' bond was evident before the 35th game of the tournament when Gujarat Titans took on Mumbai Indians on April 25. In a video shared by Mumbai, Kishan was seen cheekily slapping Gill before the game in a hilarious moment.

To top it off, Mumbai took to Twitter once again and shared a video where Gill settled the score by slapping Ishan Kishan in response. "FT: Ishan 1-1 Gill," they captioned the post.

Mumbai Indians take on Gujarat Titans on May 12

Gill and Kishan will once again face off as Mumbai Indians take on Gujarat Titans in the 57th game of the tournament at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on May 12. The last match between both sides saw Gujarat emerge victorious by 55 runs with Gill scoring a brilliant half-century. Currently, Gujarat sit atop the IPL points table with 16 points in 11 games, whereas Mumbai find themselves in third place with 12 points in 11 matches.

The Rohit Sharma-led team would be coming into the game on the back of a dominant victory against Royal Challengers Bangalore. They would be keen to maintain their winning run to make a strong case for the playoff qualifications. On the other hand, Gujarat will come into the game after back-to-back victories against Rajasthan Royals and Lucknow Super Giants. Skipper Hardik Pandya would look to build upon his side’s excellent form and register their ninth win of the IPL 2023, and stay at the top of the standings.
