Kohli sends heartfelt Father’s Day wishes to fathers around the world
Virat Kohli recently won the IPL 2025, representing Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) after 18 years.
Indian cricket veteran Virat Kohli extended heartfelt Father’s Day wishes to his late father, Prem Nath Kohli, through social media. The legendary batter recently won the maiden Indian Premier League (IPL) title in 2025, representing Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) while ending a 17-year-long wait.
Kohli recalled the invaluable advice given by his father to never take shortcuts and to work hard for everything in life. He emphasized a powerful lesson that if you do not have the will to work for it, you do not deserve it. The star India player admitted that this guidance played a crucial role in shaping his life and career. He concluded by wishing his father and all fathers around the world a Happy Father’s Day.
“He taught me to never rely on shortcuts or influence — because if you truly have it in you, hard work will show it. And if you don’t have the will to work for it, then maybe you don’t deserve it yet,” Kohli wrote on Instagram.
“When I was offered an easier path once, he refused it for me. With calm conviction, he said, “If you’re good enough, you’ll find your way. And if not, it’s better to know that early.” That one moment shaped how I live, work, and show up in the world. Happy Father’s Day to all the fathers whose quiet strength becomes our lifelong compass,” he added.
