Former Indian skipper Sourav Ganguly celebrated his 51st birthday on July 8, 2023. Ganguly on ont he special occasion, shared an interesting post for his fans, as he announced the launch of a new online leadership course in his newly launched app called “Sourav Ganguly Masterclass”.
Ganguly, on July 8, tweeted a video of some of his greatest knocks for team India, while in another tweet he shared information about the big announcement. There was buzz that the veteran Indian cricketer would be announcing a biopic on his 51st birthday, as he had created a hype around it a couple of days back, while some thought that he might be joining a political party.
Although as it turned out, neither of those speculations about Ganguly’s birthday were true as the legendary former cricketer announced the launch of the new programme.

“16+ years of international cricket and countless matches later… on this 51st bday, I sum up my learnings for you. They are now yours! Announcing “Sourav Ganguly Masterclass”, an app that has my first-ever online course on leadership," tweeted Ganguly on his Birthday.
The ‘Prince of Calcutta’, as he is famously known, announced the launch of the app with the help of Classplus, a leading platform that helps educators and creators to launch and scale their online courses. Interestingly, Ganguly has had an investment in Classplus since 2020.
The ex-Indian skipper's course is titled “Leading with Greatness by Sourav Ganguly” and it has various aspects that teache leadership skills. The star Indian cricketer had been the epitome behind changing the face of Indian cricket. His on-field aggression, and leading the team from the front truly developed the Indian team before MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli took over the baton.
