Babar Azam-led team Pakistan had a rollercoaster of a ride in their recently concluded T20 World Cup campaign. After having lost their first two Super 12 matches to India and a shock defeat to Zimbabwe, the side miraculously reached the finals with luck tilting to their side coupled with sensational performances.
Pakistan player Shadab Khan who attended an event organized by the PCB talked about his varied experience with the national team. Pakistan's retired Army General Qamar Javed Bajwa, who also attended the event, made a rather cheeky remark on Shadab over his dismissal against Zimbabwe in the marquee tournament.
Qamar Javed Bajwa : Zimbabwe 🇿🇼 ka match bhi Shadab nay har waya.

“T20 ke lihaaz se Shadab is very good, he's a complete all-rounder. Lekin Zimbabwe ka match bhi inhone harwaaya hai. Chhakka maarne ke baad agle ball pe hit maara (In T20s, Shadab is very good. But he lost us the match against Zimbabwe as well! He had hit a six and then he went for another hit),” said Bajwa which prompted laughter from the audience.
The Men in Green player did not hold back and came up with an epic response citing his dismissal handing the side to eventually reach the finals.
“Kudrat ka nizaam hai, main out hua toh final me pohoche (It was the will of nature! I was out, that's why we reached the final!),” Shadab responded hilariously.
Pakistan play England for 2nd Test match
Pakistan have currently locked horns with England in the second of the three-match Test series at the Multan Cricket Stadium. Shadab Khan has not featured for the side thus far in the red-ball contest against the Three Lions.
Babar Azam and Co. lost the first Test match and are now on the lookout to get level in the series. Furthermore, a result in their favour is vital as the contest is a part of the ICC World Test Championship 2021-23 cycle. Following the loss in the first red-ball clash, the side’s chances to make it to the finals have been dented and have put rivals India a step closer to the summit clash.
