Following a disappointing defeat against defending champions Gujarat Titans in the curtain raiser of IPL 2023, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have roared back into form with back-to-back victories in their next two matches. CSK skipper MS Dhoni shared a light-hearted moment with young pacer Rajvardhan Hangargekar during a promotional event for the Chennai-based outfit.

Former Indian skipper MS Dhoni, who shares a strong bond with his teammates, especially with the young and upcoming cricketers, was seen visibly frustrated by the performance of his young pacers due to their lack of discipline with the ball in the game against LSG. 20-year-old young and upcoming Indian pacer Rajvardhan Hangargekar, who was attending an event of such stature for the first time, was trolled by his senior pro.

"Raj ko sabse jyada time laga ready hone mein," (Raj took the longest time to get ready.) Dhoni further asked him. "Pehla event hai?," (Is this your first event?)

"Good evening everyone. Very happy to be here. As Mahi Bhaiya said, Ki jitna jyada hum iss event ko fun kar sakte hai, acha hasi mazak mein rakh sakte hai, utna try karenge, aur let’s see," (Good evening, everyone. As Dhoni said, we can have fun and some laughter in this event, we will try to do that), Hangargekar said in a short speech.

Following Hangargekar's introduction, his CSK skipper MS Dhoni poked fun at him, reminding people to not ask him about his no-ball issues in the ongoing 16th edition of the IPL. The journalists attending the event burst out into laughter after the former Indian skipper's cheeky dig at the young pacer.

"Basically bol raha hai koi iske no-ball ke baare mein baat nahi karega (Basically he is saying, no one will talk about his no balls)," said Dhoni in a cheeky comment.
