The 26th match of the ongoing ODI World Cup 2023 took place at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamsala, where Australia and New Zealand faced off. New Zealand won the toss and elected to field first.
During the chase, an intriguing incident unfolded when a New Zealand batter played a shot along the ground that seemed destined for the boundary. However, Mitchell Marsh sprinted towards the ball and executed a slide to stop it. Unfortunately, during the slide, his knee got stuck and a chunk of grass came loose from the surface, causing concern that he may have injured himself. Fortunately, Marsh emerged unscathed from the incident.
