Currently, the 12th ODI World Cup 2023 match is underway between India and Pakistan at the iconic Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium in Ahmedabad. India have had a promising start to their chase of 192, with Rohit Sharma displaying his exceptional form by scoring an unbeaten 52 runs.

Meanwhile, an interesting incident unfolded during the 11th over of the game when Shreyas Iyer was facing Haris Rauf. Rauf bowled a fullish ball outside off, which Iyer drove back towards Rauf. In an act of aggression, Rauf threw the ball back to Rizwan, displaying his frustration. This incident not only caught the players' attention but also energised the crowd if they weren't already engaged in the match.

Moving on to the match, Pakistan faced a shocking collapse against their arch-rivals India in Ahmedabad, getting bowled out for a mere 191. Initially, Pakistan seemed to be in control of the match at 155/2, but they lost their last eight wickets for just 36 runs.

Winning the toss was crucial, and India elected to field first on a pitch that seemed to slow down as the innings progressed. The openers played cautiously against Jasprit Bumrah, while Imam-ul-Haq managed to hit three boundaries off Mohammad Siraj in his first over. It was Siraj who provided India with their first breakthrough, trapping Abdullah Shafique lbw with a skiddy delivery that kept low.

Hardik Pandya dismissed Imam, who edged behind while attempting a drive. However, Pakistan found stability through Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan, who began rebuilding the innings.

At one point, Pakistan appeared to be in a strong position at 150/2 after 29 overs. However, Babar's dismissal changed the game as a Siraj delivery skidded on and knocked his off stump. This opening triggered a collapse, with the Indian bowlers wreaking havoc. Kuldeep Yadav dismissed Saud Shakeel lbw and had Iftikhar Ahmed bowled around his legs in the same over, while Bumrah claimed the crucial wicket of Rizwan for 49 runs.

In the chase, India currently have a firm grip on the game, with a score of 142/2 in 20 overs. Rohit Sharma and Shreyas Iyer are at the crease, batting on 80 and 34, respectively.
