The action in the Indian Premier League 2023 continued on April 15 as Royal Challengers Bangalore hosted Delhi Capitals in Match 20 at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru. Delhi captain David Warner won the toss and invited the famed batting of RCB to set a target.

RCB’s openers Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis once again looked in fine touch as they added 42 runs in 28 balls. However, their partnership was ended in the fifth over courtesy of a splendid one-handed catch by Aman Khan.

On the fourth ball of the over bowled by Mitchell Marsh, du Plessis tried to smack a good length delivery over mid-wicket. However, Aman, standing on the edge of the circle, jumped to his full height and plucked the ball out of air to complete a spectacular catch as du Plessis had to depart for 22 off 16 balls.

Following his dismissal, Kohli continued the attack and scored his second consecutive fifty in the tournament. However, he could not take his innings forward as he smacked a juicy full toss by Lalit Yadav and holed out to long-on for 50 off 34.

Coming back to RCB’s campaign so far, they started off their season with an emphatic win over Mumbai Indians by eight wickets. However, they were blown away by Kolkata Knight Riders as they were bundled out for 123 chasing a target of 205 in Kolkata.
