Franchises fighting it out to secure playoff qualifications at the IPL 2023

The ongoing edition of the IPL sees all ten teams fighting it out for playoff qualification. Gujarat Titans and Chennai Super Kings occupy the top two spots in the IPL points table, with 16 and 13 points, respectively, in 11 matches. Furthermore, Lucknow Super Giants sit in third place with 11 points in just as many games.

The fourth spot in the standings seems to be up for grabs as Rajasthan Royals, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Mumbai Indians, and Punjab Kings are tied on points with 10 points between them. Kolkata Knight Riders, Sunrisers Hyderabad, and Delhi Capitals sit in eighth, ninth and tenth place respectively, in the standings with eight points each.

With Hyderabad clinching a thrilling win against Rajasthan in their previous game, the other teams could see it as an opportunity to leapfrog the 2022 season finalists and bring themselves closer to playoff qualification.
